Disruptions to bin collections

Occasionally, bin collections are missed for a variety of reasons including weather conditions, road closures, or vehicles being in for maintenance and repair. If you presented your bin by 7am and it was not collected by 4.45pm, please check the list below before reporting a missed bin. Our apologies for any disruption to service that you experience.

If you find yourself accumulating additional household recycling and waste items, please remember you can dispose of recycling or landfill waste at a household recycling centre. 

23rd March 2023

Due to delays with our crew we missed the following areas in Westhill:

  • Hilltop Gardens
  • Hilltop Drive
  • Hilltop Avenue
  • Hilltop Crescent

We will return to collect these on Friday, 24th March.

14th March 2023

Due to weather conditions we missed the following areas (we will try and return if the weather improves so please leave bins out, if we are unable to return we will take extra on the next due collection date):

  • Aboyne - Craigendinnie, Birsemore (whole road), Huntly Cottages, Huntly Place, Edgewood Place, Gordon Crescent, Balmoral Lane, Allachlade Court
  • Logie Coldstone – Blelack
  • Tarland- Leys Farm to Braehead (whole road), Culsh to Mains of Kincraigie (whole road)
  • Kincardine O'Neil - Westerton (whole road)
  • Potarch - Carlogie (whole Road)
  • Ballogie - Marywell, Ballogie Home Farm, Glen Catt (whole road)

Due to vehicle breakdown we missed the following areas:

  • East Fingask Farm, Saphock Farm, Westerton and Bethelnie (Oldmeldrum rural) - we will collect extra on the next due collection date

10th March 2023

Bins on the road from Migvie to Mains of Pronie were missed due to ice on roads. We will attempt to return in the next few days if the weather improves and if we are unable to return we will take extra on the next due collection day.

9th March 2023

Due to vehicle breakdown we missed the following areas:

  • Inverurie: Kellands Drive and Selbie Drive - we will return the next day
  • Drumblade rural and Coynachie - if conditions improve we may be able to return next week

Due to weather conditions and vehicle breakdown we missed the following areas (we will pick up excess on the next scheduled collection day):

  • Cairnie rural
  • Ordiquhill
  • Marnoch rural
  • New Byth rural

8th March 2023

These Inverurie areas were missed due to a vehicle breakdown and we will return to collect these bins the next day:

  • Drimmies
  • Conglass Fields, Court and Gardens
  • Ury Meadows

Due to staff illness we weren't able to empty glass from the following glass and recycling points (we will not be able to return):

  • Alford
  • Strathdon
  • Lumsden
  • Rhynie including rural

Due to weather conditions we missed these areas (we will try and return if the weather improves so please leave bins out, if we are unable to return we will take extra on the next due collection date):

  • Strathdon: Glenbuchat whole area, Corgarff Castle, Edinglassie House, Bellabeg to Culfork whole area missed
  • Strachan: Mill of Cammie, Cammie House and Millstream Cottage
  • Finzean: Ballochan and Burnfoot
  • Birkenhills rural (we will return on Friday if weather improves)
